Manly Wolves game update- 10th September
Entry was posted on: 13/09/2011 and is filed under Latest News
It was a big day for the Division 5 and Under 18 boys who both played their grand final at Blacktown against undefeated teams. Division 5 faced Southern Power and had most of the possession. It was a close game for most of the match with the Wolves out in front for parts of the game. However, they were, unable to convert their kicks into goals, scoring more behinds than goals. In the end, they came off second best losing by a mere 15 points. The Under 18s played Campbelltown and had previously lost by 50 points in a qualifying final. This time, the boys played hard and were only 1 goal behind in the third quarter. However, Campbelltown ran away with a 5 goal win by the end of the match. Injuries for the day included an ankle sprain and two head clashes with mild signs of concussion.
We are left with our Division 1 team up against Southern Power in their grand final at Blacktown on Saturday- first bounce at 1:15pm. We wish the boys all the very best in what has been a well managed year in regards to injuries. Good luck and congratulations to the club for all their grand final efforts!
